Written by Arnel Garcesa Working to permeate sustainable philosophies is a multidisciplinary endeavor requiring interdisciplinary cooperation. PCGS Alum Courtney Chinn catalyzes a collaboration of ideas and practices to accelerate achievements of efficient energy management in her current role as a Consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton. The journey to her current role has revolved around unifying the interaction of people with living in greater harmony with the natural world. Growing up, Courtney recalls experiences which entrenched her appreciation for nature. “My dad is a biologist, and we would often walk on nature trails. I gained empathy for the natural world and sought to uphold care for the environment.” Courtney’s admiration continued while volunteering for the Florida Aquarium and attending high school. “I was able to educate visitors about the species with whom we share this world. Written by Arnel Garcesa   The concepts taught and practiced at institutions often make their way into applications that affect our daily lives seen and unseen. More than ever, sustainable principles and theories being promoted should exist beyond the classroom and into reality. PCGS alumni Li Zhu has focused his energy on delivering the allure of sustainability for the benefit of people and their communities. Li began attending PCGS in the fall of 2016 from his native China. In his home country, Li saw massive capability to tackle its ailments with greater sustainability education. Rinika Pulupudi merges knowledge and experience in greening infrastructure. Written by Arnel Garcesa Sustainability requires all components of a system to sum larger than its parts. And in order to achieve a better future for all, it requires each of our own talents to fuse into a grand combination. Patel College of Global Sustainability alum Rinika Pulupudi has replicated this process in helping to bridge realms where sustainability can permeate. Before attending PCGS, Rinika received her Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from her native India and a Master’s in Sustainable Energy Engineering in Sweden. “Sweden had the reputation of being more progressive in implementing renewable solutions to provide energy.
